Aeris Technologies and Eosense to Co-Host Webinar on Automated Soil Flux Measurements
Webinar will demonstrate integration of Aeris MIRA trace gas analyzers with Eosense FluxLink CMX multiplexer for automated, multi-chamber CO₂ and N₂O measurements
Hayward, CA — October 21, 2026 — Aeris Technologies and Eosense will co-host a technical webinar entitled “What can automated chambers reveal about N₂O and CO₂ fluxes?” demonstrating how Aeris MIRA trace gas analyzers can be integrated with the Eosense FluxLink Closed-loop Multiplexer (CMX) and eosAC-series automated soil flux chambers to support continuous, multi-chamber soil flux measurements.
The webinar will walk participants through the system configuration and measurement workflow detailed in the recently completed application note, FluxLink CMX Multiplexer and Aeris MIRA Trace Gas Analyzer Setup. Attendees will learn how the instruments interface, how to configure automated measurement cycles, how to monitor real-time flux measurements, and how to collect and process data for further analysis.
The integrated system combines Eosense chamber automation and measurement scheduling with the Aeris MIRA’s laser-based trace gas analysis capabilities. Together, these technologies enable automated measurements across multiple chambers, with real-time flux estimates and the ability to monitor gas concentrations and flux dynamics over extended field deployments.
Real-World Application: Measuring CO₂ and N₂O Fluxes in Rice Paddies
The webinar will also highlight a field deployment at Nikian Farms in Nova Scotia, where an Aeris MIRA N₂O/CO₂ analyzer was integrated with Eosense automated soil flux chambers to measure greenhouse gas fluxes in rice paddies.
During an extended six-day measurement campaign, the system captured both daytime and nighttime CO₂ and N₂O flux dynamics. The resulting data illustrated daily CO₂ uptake and emissions patterns, as well as changes in N₂O flux associated with a rainfall event.
The example demonstrates how automated chamber measurements and high-precision trace gas analysis can help researchers investigate greenhouse gas dynamics in agricultural and ecosystem studies.
Who Should Attend?
The webinar is intended for researchers and scientists working in soil flux measurements, biogeochemistry, ecosystem science, agricultural research, greenhouse gas emissions, and related environmental applications. It will be particularly relevant to those interested in automated chamber systems, continuous field measurements, and monitoring CO₂ and N₂O fluxes.
