EtO – Ethylene Oxide

Precision Monitoring for Ethylene Oxide

Ethylene Oxide (EtO) is a highly effective medical sterilization agent and used in chemical manufacturing of several common products such as textiles, antifreeze and adhesives. EtO is also a known carcinogen, not only exposing workers inside those facilities but also the surrounding communities. As such, the EPA has imposed new, more stringent occupational and community exposure limits, reducing limits from ppm to ppb levels emphasizing the need for precise real time monitoring to minimize health risks.
