Precision Monitoring for Nitrous Oxide
Nitrous oxide, is a naturally occurring colorless gas with a slightly sweet odor and taste. Major sources of N₂O include bacterial nitrification and denitrification in soils and oceans and from the use of synthetic and organic fertilizers. N₂O is a potent greenhouse gas contributing a significant effect on global warming and plays a major role in ozone depletion through its oxidation to NO and NO2.
